"And now, behold, Jehovah hath kept me alive, as he spake, these forty and five years, from the time that Jehovah spake this word unto Moses, while Israel walked in the wilderness: and now, lo, I am this day fourscore and five years old. As yet I am as strong this day as I as in the day that Moses sent me: as my strength was then, even so is my strength now, for war, and to go out and to come in. Now therefore give me this hill-country, whereof Jehovah spake in that day; for thou heardest in that day how the Anakim were there, and cities great and fortified: it may be that Jehovah will be with me, and I shall drive them out, as Jehovah spake."
Josh 14:10-12
Vision:
It is therefore the vision of the seniors ministry to inspire hope, to encourage activity, and to provide meaningful fellowship to those who are above the age of sixty years old [1Tim 5:9]
a word for you...
At eighty-five years old Caleb the servant of the Lord, requested that Joshua give him the land that God had promised him. Caleb asserted that at age eighty-five he was as strong and as ready to have what God had promised him, though he was in what we call the senior years. It is our prayer that this ministry will help senior saints to strive for the completion of their earthly task, while transferring wisdom for development to the next generation.
