The Screen Team

Mission:

Recognizing that screens, whether television screens, computer monitors, cell phone screens, IPods, MP3 players, IPads, etc. play a very important role in present day life; and that we have all been retrained and reprogrammed to turn to the nearest screen for information and guidance:

Our primary goal is to harness, maximize and utilize technological resources to enhance the worship experience at the Center for Manifestation.

Recognizing also that there are over 40 dynamic ministries at CFM, most of which are involved in organizing and executing their own respective functions and events; and this underlines the need to keep the CFM body informed of what is happening relative to the collective ministerial oversight:

One of our purposes is to disseminate ongoing information and activities for the Center for Manifestation as well as the wider community so that our partners and regulars can stay abreast of conferences, classes, missions, ministry and other available opportunities.

Recognizing also that the CFM family has grown considerably since its inception and continues to grow:

The Screen Team seeks out opportunities to highlight milestones such as individual birthdays, anniversaries and other significant events in the lives of our brothers and sisters.

Methodology:

The Screen Team provides on-screen services that enhance and add to the worship and other services, including conferences, funerals, and special events at the Center for Manifestation. We provide information via the four main screens in the sanctuary. This includes projecting the words as well as spontaneous choruses of songs being sung in real time, Scripture, titles of messages, speaker biographies, emergency and nursery announcements as well as other relevant information. The goal is to use these tools to enhance the worship experience for CFM partners and regulars as well as newcomers and first time visitors.

We believe that the more efficient we are at getting accurate information to the screens in a timely manner, the less intrusive we will be.  This enables the attention and focus to remain where it’s supposed to be – worship, praise, and receiving the ministry of the Holy Spirit through teachings, sermons, dance or song.

Our team is also responsible for the preparation and production of slides and other visual media projected onto the screens during, before and after services.

The Screen Team also produces and directs the weekly announcements live from the CFM Studio every Sunday.

The responsibility for the preparation and dissemination of the longer and more detailed electronic version of these announcements also rest with our team.  These announcements are then emailed to the mailboxes of all CFM Leaders and partners on the CFM Electronic Mailing List.

Ministry Opportunities:

We are always in need of more hands and minds to carry out the many and varied tasks. The responsibilities of this team continue to grow exponentially as we discover and develop new and better ways to carry out our mission.

Most of the work of this ministry takes place behind the scenes, except for the beautiful faces that are On Screen during the announcements.

Full training is provided and we welcome anyone with a heart to serve unobtrusively. This is not one of those ministry areas that will put you in the public eye.
